For this trekking we do recommend to take only a small backpack which you can carry during the hike. The less stuff you carry around, the more you will enjoy yourself.
Clients should bring:-On our last trekking day, there will be more down hills than up hills.
After breakfast, walk up hill about one and half hours to NANYOKE village. And then we are going down for three hours to TONELE, an Innthar village in the western shore of Inle lake. This path is sandy and rocky.
Lunch at a bamboo hut in the bamboo forest in Tonele and afterward we have to walk to the jetty for boat trip (one hour and half) to Nyaungshwe.
Our adventurous trekking starts from Kalaw hotel. Walk leisurely uphill along the pine forest for two and half hours and arrive to a Danu village called LUTPYIN Proceed half an hour to SHAPIN, another Danu village.
Along the trail, you can see variety of fruits such as avocado, papaya, banana and vegetable farms. There are also animals (water buffaloes and cows) working in the fields. Take a rest for a while and enjoy lunch in Shapin village.
After lunch, continue the trip along the ridge for two hours to LINPAN, a Pa Oh village. In the Pao area, they grow rice, ginger, potatoes, sesame, chili and banana. The trail goes up and down through beautiful sceneries.
Another Pao village named KYAUKSU could be seen from Linpan. It takes for one hour to get there. Enjoy dinner and overnight in Kyauksu village.
After breakfast, walk down hill for one hour, then you can see that the landscape is getting smooth. Tea-break for half an hour and continue two hours trip and lunch at an old wooden YEKHAUNGTO monastery.
After lunch trek up and down for two hours crossing a nice bamboo bridge on the way to PATTU, a Taungyo village .This very pleasant village is surrounded by bamboo forest and most of the men in this village know how to make baskets not only for using themselves and also for selling in the market.
There is another interesting wooden monastery in Pattu, situated in the mid of the village. Have our dinner and overnight in Pattu village after visiting and exploring around the village.
